Every Mum and Granny in the world needs their kitchen appliances working at all times to keep the warmth of the family.
This is what we call our giving back to the community division. Why? One may ask. At Otters we pride ourselves at helping some of the less fortunate and disadvantaged in our community with our professional services.
Who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a annoying consequences resultant pleasure.
This is our ”baby” division, and was birthed after we occupied premises, which were once used by a person who specialized, only in home appliances. Theirs was a family owned business and unfortunately the owner passed on, and the family could not afford to carry on with the business and closed down the shop, and then we were not even in the picture of occupying that space.
Many of their old clients continued to bring their appliances for repairs, only for us to turn them back, because we were not the people they were looking for. After a while seeing some of the elderly people that we turned back helpless and hopeless, we decide to open this division.
We had to trace and find some of the former employees of the appliance shop, who we found jobless and gave them employment. Now they are happily employed, helping their families and providing for their needs. As they always say, when narrating a long story!!!! the rest is history. Otters A.R.E, later on forged relations with Defy East London and we became their approved appliance repairers, attending to all their appliance warranty callouts in the communities in and around East London.
